Go Pink for the Month of October

The Go Pink campaign is about blog and website owners showing their support for breast cancer awareness by turning our sites pink for the month of October.

We are hoping to get a lot of web sites to Go Pink during the month of October to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, get people talking about breast cancer.

The best way to fight breast cancer is to have a plan that helps you detect the disease in its early stages. According to the National Cancer Institute:

  • Nearly 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
  • 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime.
  • Over 30% of women are diagnosed after breast cancer has spread beyond the localized stage.
  • When breast cancer is detected early (localized stage), the 5-year survival rate is 98%.

The “Go Pink” Campaign

The objective is to turn your site pink (or at least include “Go Pink” on your site), and encourage people to educate themselves about the multiple issues related to Breast Cancer, then take that new-found knowledge and tell someone else what you’ve learned.

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness month, a time when everyone can come together and do their part to raise awareness.

Please contact me with a link to your “Pink” site and I will add it to this post, or leave your website address in the comments section below.
